The next big electronics arm race---glasses free 3D TV--- is starting to build and the latest technology agreement between Hipso Multimedia and LEVEL Vision will add more competition to this burgeoning category. On April 11 Hipso entered into a five-year renewable distribution contract with LEVEL Vision that includes the North American rights to the company's 3D TV technologies. Hipso Multimedia Inc. CEO Rene Arbic describes LEVEL's technologies as a "Goggle-Less" solution that provide users in the TV and display monitor spaces with products that don't require them to wear 3D glasses. "The new LEVEL Vision 3D screens do not require special goggles. By adding these extraordinary displays to our products line we extend the reach of our existing network to a segment of the advertising industry that is in constant search for new media formats," he notes. "With the signing of this distribution license, we have solidified Hipso in terms of its network footprint, recurring revenue base and the high quality of its assets." Jean-Francois Lefebvre, vice president of LEVEL Vision Electronics, adds that his company is pleased to be working with Hipso, and that his company's products will complement the rest of Hipso's product family.
