I�m classifying this chunk of writing more as a commentary of my experiences with Dragon Age II and less of a review. As such, there are a three major spoilers buried within. They are all behind spoiler tags, so if you already know the ending of Dragon Age: Origins, feel free to click the first spoiler. Likewise, the last two spoilers talk about the ending of Dragon Age II. If you�ve never played either title, don�t keep reading � and don�t buy Dragon Age II. Buy Dragon Age: Origins first. Otherwise, it�d be like watching The Empire Strikes Back without having seen Star Wars. Dragon Age II developer BioWare had the tricky task of improving on its well-made predecessor, Dragon Age: Origins, without messing up what made the first game great. In some ways they did a great job, too. Better graphics? Check. Same simple gameplay mechanics? Check. Solid RPG structure with lots of loot and character upgrades? Check. So how does a sequel that checks all the right boxes fall so short?
