
For video enthusiasts the weeks in which the CES , CEDIA and NAB shows are held are pure nirvana and this year's annual National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show could potentially take that nirvana to the next level. One of the highest profile companies to be exhibiting this week at NAB is LG Electronics . The large, South Korean-based manufacturer is showing a variety of products that include mobile digital televisions that are capable of displaying 3D via the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) Mobile DTV Standard , as well as a prototype 7-inch auto-stereoscopic receiver that eliminates the need for 3D glasses. The showing of these products, which comes shortly after the mobile format's announcement this past fall, provides the broadcast industry with new opportunities to fulfill the content requirements of a population that consumes media in new ways.
